This poster “Keep them flying - back“ was created in 1943. It tells the beholder that it is important to conserve materials for the war effort. In this case the 55 gallon drums should be reused instead of discharging.

This poster “Fuel fights“ was also created in 1943 with a similar message. Fuel was the main supply freight during WWII. It was needed in unbelievable large quantities; that is the reason why the usage of fuel had to be reduced at the home front.

This poster titled “Have you really tried to save gas by getting into a car club?“ was created in 1944 also with the message to save fuel for war.
